 6.5 to 1 Transfer Case Gears

Low range gears are critical for technical off-road driving. Our Samurai low range gear kit is the highest quality gear set available. Low Range reduction is 6.5 to 1. High Range reduction is 20% (1.7 to 1). No welded or second rate, gears here. These are strong, run quiet and take a huge amount of abuse.  This complete kit includes four new precision cut gears, counter shaft, needle bearings, shims, o-ring, gaskets, and input/output seals. Minor grinding of case is necessary for installation. Fits 1986-1995 Suzuki Samurai's. 15 lbs. 

If you're planning to run with stock axle gears, the high-range gearing of this kit is ideal for street use with 33"-35" tires.

SUMO Front Samurai Rock Crawler Driveshaft

Replace the wimpy stock front driveshaft with a SUMO™ shaft that was designed with the rock crawler in mind!  The long-travel spline provides 9 inches of spline travel, the clearanced flanges increase the shaft's working angle, and the Spicer 1310 U-joints are substantially stronger than the Suzuki joints.  The narrow upper shaft helps to eliminate the need to modify the frame cross member for maximum suspension articulation.  This shaft is perfect for long-travel shackle-reversal suspensions.  Picture (left) shows our SUMO™ front shaft compared to a stock Suzuki front shaft, both extended to their maximum operating length.

Tired of breaking U-joints?  Looking to minimize highway driveline vibrations?  Our rear SUMO™ driveshaft bolts directly to the stock Samurai transfer case and pinion flanges.  Designed for long-lasting high-speed use, it uses the same Spicer U-joints and clearanced flanges as our other SUMO™ driveshafts.
